RIP Lion Nick Falco

NLionNickFalcoicholas E. Falco, 7/8/1917-4/4/2013, passed away Thursday evening at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville NY, of complications due to pneumonia.

Mr. Falco was the beloved Son of Anthony and Jenny Falco. Husband to the departed Helen (Conrad) Falco.

Beloved father to sons William and Thomas. Beloved grandfather to Nicholas, Lisa, and William Christopher Falco. Beloved Great grandfather to Maria Rose Santangelo and the departed Michael George Santangelo Jr.

Mr. Falco was a businessman who built and ran many successful enterprises, his crowning achievement being Marine Boiler and Welding in the Bronx.

He served his community for over 20 years as the Police Commissioner of Tuckahoe and as an active member of the Tuckahoe Eastchester Lions Club, where he earned their highest honor, the Melvin Jones Double Diamond award.

He was also the first club president to hold two consecutive terms.

He was a kind and generous man of action, who would much rather work actively to solve a problem than to stand by and wait for others to find a solution. He will be missed by his family and his community.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Sunday, April 07, 2013 2-4 and 7-9PM. Requiem Mass, Monday April 8, 2013 at 10:30 am at Assumption Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mr. Falco’s name to the Tuckahoe Eastchester Lions Club PO Box 253 Tuckahoe, NY 10707, or to the Michael George Santangelo Jr. Memorial Scholarship fund at Loyola School, 980 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10028.
